About The Estuary

The Estuary at Delray Beach is a unique gated townhome community, located directly on the Intracoastal Waterway and is walking distance to Delray’s beautiful white sandy beaches and famed downtown Atlantic Avenue.

The community was developed by award winning Porten Companies, well known for quality luxury home construction. All townhomes feature old world styling, reminiscent of Provence and Tuscany. Combine this with winding tree-lined streets and sidewalks that surround two lakes and a nature preserve, and the result is the perfect location for either seasonal or year-round resort-style living.

Each townhome is uniquely styled with stucco exterior walls, stone columns, brick paving and terra cotta barrel tile roofing. Arched windows are highlighted by wood batten shutters to enhance the old world charm. Many homes have direct unobstructed waterfront views, facing one of the two lakes with the Intracoastal in the distance. There are also several garden homes that feature lushly landscaped plantings and exclusive privacy.

The community offers its residents many amenities for year-round resort-style living. The centrally located community pool is an ideal place for cooling off and relaxing with friends and neighbors. The pool cabana features a shaded area for those who want to relax in the shade. The Estuary Nature Preserve, located between the north lake and the Intracoastal, is home to many species of wildlife and water fowl. One of the Estuary’s most popular spots is the Pier, located directly on the Intracoastal Waterway. Many resident gather at the Pier in the evening to socialize or to enjoy the tranquility and the view of the Intracoastal Waterway. The Pier also features a large bougainvillea covered portico and is the site of many community social events.

The white sandy beach, adjacent to the Pier offers residents an ideal spot to launch their kayaks. The children’s play area, another unique amenity of the Estuary, resembles a mini park and is used by visiting children and grandchildren. The Estuary is a pet friendly community.

Many Estuary residents utilize the services of the “Downtowner” to go into town for dinner. These electric 6-passenger environmentally friendly shuttles pick up riders at their doorstep and shuttle them to a favorite restaurant, shop or event in town, free of charge.

The community is managed by a private property management company that oversees the maintenance of all community properties including all landscaping and exterior maintenance of all homes. The Homeowners Association is comprised of five board members, elected for two-year terms. Several committees have been established to oversee Landscape and Architectural Review, Communications, Social Events, and Security.

Visitors entering the Estuary are greeted at the gatehouse by a uniformed security staff member. The gatehouse is located at the north end of Palm Trail and is staffed 24/7.
